Is it legal to spy on your own spouse?

Specifically, is it legal in Texas (or anywhere in the US) to install surveillance cameras to monitor one's spouse without their knowledge inside their own private residence? Is it legal to spy on your own spouse?
Yes, it's legal. Ordinarily, the domicile is jointly owned making such modifications within the property owner's rights. In addition, there is no expectation of privacy in a private residence from another party living in that residence.

If you are estranged, though, going to a separate location to install surveillance equipment - particularly when it is not your property - could get you in real trouble. Is it legal to spy on your own spouse?
I would hope not! What a creepy violation of the Fourth Amendment, not to mention a good way to ruin a marriage.
Yes that's fine, I have some pornography tapes of my x and her lover. I sell over the Internet that's making me millions!!
i would imagine it is, but if you dont trust who you're with, why be with them O.o
Yes it is legal to have video in your house recording. There are many covert cameras out their. Check the link below for examples of low cost covert cameras. You can get cameras inside smoke detectors, picture frames, and ties.
I don't have any legal info to support my idea, but I think it is. I'm sure there have been a few people contemplating divorce that have resorted to a PI or surveillancing their spouse before deciding for sure whether or not to go through with filing the paperwork.
