My spouse has sued for divorce in a different state than I live in. Which state do I file my Response in?

My spouse has sued for divorce in CA. I live in NC and need to file a Response. Which state do I file the Response in? (Assuming I am agreeing to his terms.)My spouse has sued for divorce in a different state than I live in. Which state do I file my Response in?
CA. the entire case will take place in california. My spouse has sued for divorce in a different state than I live in. Which state do I file my Response in?
It would be CA. I lived in IL and my ex moved back to WA and I filed here, and this is where the divorce took place. Also, a divorce does not have to be filed where the marriage took place. My ex could have filed in WA even though we got married in IL. Unless you are contesting the divorce, you don't even have to show up at court unless you want to, you can always look on the web at the state laws, or call the courthouse he is using to ask questions. Good luck!
Get a lawyer immediately

A lawyer can give information on which state o file

Stop trying to figure this out

Do not sign anything unless your lawyer looks at it

Ca.
Depends....did you move away or did he? If you were married in Ca, then then that state has jurisdiction.
