How do you obtain a credit report for a dead spouse if you are executor of estate in a community property stat

I need to get my deceased husband's credit report to clear up any accounts that are part of his estate. How do you get one? His social has been flagged through the freecreditreport website and we can not get someone to talk to us. Any experience could be of assistance. I'm sorry for your loss.

Unfortunately, you will just have to just wait it out for any payments that are due and respond to each one of the creditors when the bills come in. You'll need to pay the account off and then show them papers that you are the executor of the estate and request that the account be closed. You'll also have to request any refunds due be paid back to the estate. It's a process that can take up to 6 months to settle everything. How do you obtain a credit report for a dead spouse if you are executor of estate in a community property stat
Well, I would not worry. If you are not on any of these accounts as a cosigner, you are not affected. If you are on any of the accounts, then you can talk to the companies and they will gladly talk with you.

Of course, you can open his mail from the credit card companies and they will of course talk with you when you explain the situation. They do want their money, but I believe that they will be respectful of your time of grieving.

May I also give you my condolences.
